Ann Marshall, LPC, FAMI

I am licensed as a professional counselor in Washington, DC and am BPC's referral coordinator. I have training and experience working with bisexual, gay, heterosexual, and lesbian clients dealing with depression, anxiety, spiritual issues, relationship problems, grief and loss, and life transitions. I hold a masters degree in pastoral counseling from Loyola College and have completed advanced training in the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery & Music (GIM). I am a member of the American Counseling Association and the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and am a Fellow of the Association for Music and Imagery. I joined BPC in 1997 and provide psychotherapy services there to adult individuals and couples.

I view psychotherapy as a somewhat mysterious and highly effective process for addressing the inevitable challenges of life and believe that the most important ingredient in counseling is a trusting relationship between the counselor and the client. What I love about my work is being invited to hear people's stories and accompanying them on a journey of discovery and healing.
