Ann Marshall, LPC, FAMI

Ann is licensed as a professional counselor in Washington, DC and is BPC's referral coordinator. She has training and experience working with bisexual, gay, heterosexual, and lesbian clients dealing with depression, anxiety, spiritual issues, relationship problems, grief and loss, and life transitions. She holds a masters degree in pastoral counseling from Loyola College and has completed advanced training in the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery & Music (GIM). She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and is a Fellow of the Association for Music and Imagery. She joined BPC in 1997 and provides psychotherapy services there to adult individuals and couples.

She views psychotherapy as a somewhat mysterious and highly effective process for addressing the inevitable challenges of life and believes that the most important ingredient in counseling is a trusting relationship between the counselor and the client. What she loves about her work is being invited to hear people's stories and accompanying them on a journey of discovery and healing.
